Through the years of collecting, buying, and selling Funko Pops, I have determined the best way to figure out if a Funko Pop will increase in value. Here, I will share a very simple Ebay trick to help you buy Funko Pops before they increase in value. Let's begin! Vaulted?
Second, you can check this site to see if it is on the vaulted or soon to be vaulted list. Each category has a list of every vaulted or soon to be vaulted Funko Pop at the bottom of the page. I have shown an example of the Star Wars category in the image below. Ebay Supply and Demand TrickOn the ebay app or website there is a way to figure out the market supply and demand of a certain figure. In the search bar type "[Name of Funko Pop on the Box] [Box Number] Funko Pop". Hit search and you will get the number of listings for that Pop aka the supply. I will use the recently vaulted Inuyasha Funko Pop in the example below. In this example we have a supply of 23 on the market. Now let's find the demand. On the top right hit filter and select "Sold Items" to show the number sold over the last 90 days. Now we see that there were 31 sold. If we take the demand (31) and divide it by the supply (23) we will get a sell-through rate of 1.3. Any figure that has above a 1 is typically pretty good. The higher the sell-through rate the more potential the Funko Pop has to increase in price. Again, this only works if the Pop is vaulted and is no longer in production. Not all vaulted Funko Pops have potential to increase in value. Some figures such as some of the Star Wars Pops were overproduced and will likely never increase in value. I'll show an example of this below. Poe Dameron 62 has a sell-through rate of 0.2 which is not great. This figure will probably stay around the same price for a very long time just because there are so many on the market. Try it Yourself! This is a great way to add Funko Pops to your collection before they go up in value. Now that you know how to do this simple Ebay trick, try it out and leave a comment below if you find anything interesting or have any questions. I hope this helps you build a great collection at an affordable price!

Below are Funko Pops that have recently been vaulted or are likely soon to be vaulted in July of 2021. The Pops are sorted by the order they were vaulted with the first being the most recent. Click the image to see the current price on Ebay. *Updated throughout the month* **Not all of these Pops have a vaulted status on the Funko App but will likely soon be vaulted because distributors have quit accepting orders for them**
Funko released a total of four Pops from the anime series FLCL in November of 2018. These include Haruko #456, Naota #457, Canti #458, and Mamimi #459. All four have now been vaulted. The Funko app only shows Haruko and Mamimi as being vaulted but the other two will be updated soon because distributors have quit accepting orders for them. These were the only FLCL Pops Funko has ever produced as of now. The supply on these Pops seems pretty low and since they are discontinued, now would be a great time to add these to your collection. The graffiti artist Futura teamed up with Funko in 2019 and released Star Wars Pops exclusively sold at Target. There are a total of six Pops in this release and they were all vaulted in May of 2021. These include: Jawa #342, Stormtrooper #296, C-3PO #64, R2-D2 #31, Boba Fett #297, and Darth Vader #157. Click the images below to check the prices on Ebay. Below are the top five most popular Funko Pops that were vaulted in June of 2021 based on the number of Ebay sales. In the whole month of June there were only 11 Pops vaulted. You can view them all HERE.
The Arnold Shortman Funko Pop from Hey Arnold was announced it would be vaulted about a year ago and since then the supply has really started to dry up. The demand for this classic Nickelodeon Pop stays pretty constant which will eventually make it hard to find. The Gerald and Helga Funko Pops from the show are also vaulted. Gerald still shows available on the Funko app but it isn't available for retailers to reorder. All three have pretty good potential to increase in value over time. Of course, this is speculation and not investment advise. Let me know if you agree or disagree in the comments below and feel free to mention any Pops you think are set to pop in price as well!

The Black Widow Funko Pop from Avengers Endgame will likely soon be vaulted because distributors have quit taking orders for this Pop. The demand is over 3x higher than the current supply on Ebay which is typically a good sign that the Pop will increase in value. There are currently only 2 sellers left in stock on Amazon. With the new Black Widow movie hitting theaters on July 9th, the demand for this Pop will only go up. There is an Entertainment Earth exclusive of this Pop as well that comes with some Pop trading cards. If you are a Black Widow fan this would be a great time to add this one to your collection. Of course, this is speculation and not investment advise. Let me know if you agree or disagree in the comments below and feel free to mention any Pops you think are set to pop in price as well!
The Batista Funko Pop will likely soon be vaulted because distributors have quit taking orders for this Pop. The demand is over 3x higher than the current supply on Ebay which is typically a good sign that the Pop will increase in value. The supply on Amazon is also starting to dry up. This retired WWE star is now making his name in Hollywood which should only make him more popular in the future. Batista #61 is the only current Batista Funko Pop that Funko has has produced as of now. If you are a fan of Batista, maybe consider picking up one of these Pops while they are still at reasonable prices. Of course, this is speculation and not investment advise.
